ABOUT THE WEBSITE

The name Cinesthesium is a marriage of all the elements I aim to bring together on this website: My love of cinema, the concept of synaesthesia, the idea of having a thesis, and the aggregation of these components. The suffix of –ium is usually attributed to places where something is being carried out (think of the planetarium, or auditorium for example), so it only seemed natural to use it to tie everything together.

Here, I’ll talk about films that have left an impression on me, and I’ll try to analyse them in differing and perhaps unconventional ways. Anything else that does not fall under the ‘cinema’ umbrella will most likely end up in a little blog section of some sort.

With that, I’ll resist the temptation to end with a quote (I would have most likely picked one from Alice in Wonderland), and leave you instead with an invitation to join me as I foray into whatever takes my fancy!
